About Cabin
Cabin started from a simple, slightly stubborn belief: that most of us don't need another app demanding our attention. We need somewhere quieter — a place to think a thing through, name a feeling, or untangle a day, without a feed scrolling past or a notification pulling us somewhere else.
So that's what Cabin is. A calm, private place to talk things through. Not advice. Not a feed. Just room to hear yourself think.
The idea behind Cabin
Most apps want as much of your time and attention as they can take. Cabin is built on the opposite idea: it should be genuinely useful when you need it, and just as happy to be closed when you don't. No feed, no streaks, no nudges to come back. A calm, private place to think, and nothing it's quietly trying to get from you.
This blog is part of the same idea. The pieces here are written from genuine, everyday experience with the things they're about — overthinking, indecision, the noise in your head at 1am, the struggle to be kind to yourself. They're not clinical papers. They're honest, practical reflections, the kind of thing you'd hope a thoughtful friend might say.
What Cabin is — and what it isn't
Cabin is a companion for the small, everyday stuff: the decision you keep circling, the feeling you want to name, the day you need to set down. It's free to start, it works in your browser and on your phone, and it remembers what matters to you so each conversation picks up where you left off.
What it isn't, and what this blog isn't: a therapist, a counsellor, or a crisis service. The writing here is for everyday reflection and general wellbeing. It isn't medical or mental-health advice, and it isn't a substitute for care from a qualified professional. If you're struggling with something heavy, please reach out to someone who can properly help — that's a sign of good sense, not weakness.
